Bridget McAndrew is a third-term Alderwoman in Ward 3 who is dedicated to Clayton, passionate about its future, and ready to lead. Vote April 8th!

I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for Mayor of Clayton.  Mayor Michelle Harris has provided tremendous leadership for the past six years and because of term limits, she cannot run again. I am deeply committed to our outstanding community, with all it offers to residents, workers and visitors, as well as its dynamic role in the St. Louis Region.

Serving on the Clayton Board of Aldermen for nearly seven years, I represent Ward 3, which includes Clayton’s Central Business District, Clayton High School, single-family homes, as well as multi-family and high-rise residential buildings.  Most recently, my tenure included participation on these important commissions and boards:

Looking ahead, I recognize that there are significant decisions to be made and multiple challenges to navigate.  Key to leadership and planning will be these focus areas:

  • Expanding walkability and multi-generational park activities

  • Filling storefronts by seeking various retail and creative experiences

  • Developing and implementing effective zoning practices to ensure vibrant and sustainable development

  • Fortifying and diversifying our revenue base for long-term financial stability and growth
